Abstract
Optical computed tomography (OpCT) is a probe approach that was broadly used to measure 3D (three-dimensional) distributions of physical quantities of different targets, including biological organs. Most OpCT measurement calculations were based on series-expansion theory and usually time-consuming hence hardly satisfying the real-time demand of optical tests. To accelerate calculation of traditional OpCT algorithms, an implementation method with a video processor was proposed. The algorithms were transferred to digital signal processor (DSP) languages and executed by the processor. Comparison results showed this hardware implementation were time-saving and could improve the real-time performance of traditional OpCT algorithms.
