Abstract :
This paper investigates LTC operation, as well as capacitor switching for power factor control, in terms of maximum power transfer achieved in a radial system. Following this, various detailed designs are applied to a specific bulk delivery substation of the Hellenic System. As shown by the results presented, the best performance is achieved when controlling the distribution voltage through the transformer LTC, and the transmission voltage through capacitor switching
