Abstract :
An approach for calculating the propagation factor due to radar returns emanating from targets over a curved Earth is proposed. The multipath propagation factors due to interference and curved Earth diffraction are combined into a single response by recognizing the transition point for the infinite series applicable to each phenomenon.
