Abstract :
Conformal treatment for microwave ablation has been the research aim in the hyperthermia field. In this paper, a patient-specific temperature-based optimization algorithm is proposed, which can be applied to explore optimum thermal filed model covering entire tumor and minimizing the damage to healthy tissues. 50 optimization experiments were performed and the results indicated the algorithm mentioned above is fast and effective in the practice. Applying the algorithm, it may help physicians to establish optimum treatment scheme before hepatic tumor microwave ablation.
