Abstract :
The performance of a power system during transient operating conditions is highly dependent on the type of loads connected to its nodes. Accurate load flow analysis for different system configuration is needed to determine the best power system reconfigurations. In this paper, the load modeling concept for power system simulation and analysis is explained. Several load models are derived and implemented in virtual test bed (VTB). The new models are tested and validated with Matlab/SimPowerSystem simulation results
