Abstract :
A tuning technique is proposed for the location of hot spots in proteins using a bandpass notch (BPN) digital filter. The technique involves tuning the notch frequency of the filter over a small frequency range. To facilitate tuning, a user-friendly graphical interface has been implemented using MATLAB. Simulations have shown that the use of the tuning technique leads to improved hot-spot predictions compared to results obtained using untuned BPN filters.
