Abstract
Surface currents measured during the 1989 Loch Linnhe experiment are used as input to a surface-wave surface-current interaction model coupled to electromagnetic scattering models to predict intensity variations in SAR imagery at P, L and C band. Two scattering models are used, one is Kirchhoff-based, the other is a composite-surface model. The model predictions obtained generally agreed with measured image modulations, although the phase shift of the modulations with radar frequency was under-predicted
