Abstract
The results of the investigations lead to new experiences in the field of diagnosis of oil-paper insulated cables. Suitable measurement equipment is available to estimate the dielectric ageing state. Nevertheless, there are some questions raised. To this end, the following points should be investigated in future: investigations of the single components (oil, paper); measurements of dependence of temperature and pressure; chemical analysis in correlation to dielectric measurements; on-site tests on new and different aged cables; and comparison between frequency- and time-domain measurements
