Title :
Parametrization of DT ignition in tight aspect ratio, elongated toroidal plasmas
Abstract :
Summary form only given. It is pointed out that it is easy to introduce unrealistic approximations into standard 1-1/12-D transport codes, which are sensitive for DT ignition. These are difficult to resolve from available experimental data. Thus, the author considered the parametrization of the important 1-1/2-D effects and the overall time evolution in terms of analytic expressions and a simple, fast 1-D (flux surface variable) transport code that attempts to retain a firm connection to the underlying basic physics and makes it easier to evaluate their relative effects on ignition
