Abstract :
Fractal arrays utilize irregular spacing of antenna elements. The nonuniformity of the array causes variations in element coupling when compared to a uniform array of comparable size. Non-uniform coupling has a great effect on the input impedance of the elements, which in turn, has a great effect on the individual element patterns. The paper presents the resultant element impedances associated with planar dipole fractal arrays.
