The Web Site of MUSA: A Work in Progress of Knowledge Management

MUSA is an acronym for "Historical-Archaeological Musem". It is a brand new Museum, realized by (and belonging) to the University of Salento (Lecce, Italy). MUSA has been conceived to enhance the services available for historical and archaeological didactical and research activities. In the exhibition of MUSA, we have made use of ICT, by means of the implementation of a Multimedial Expositive System and of the internet web site www.musa.unile.it. From the site, it is possible to enter a dataservice to achieve deeper details and latest updating about contents of the exhibition and research activities of the University of Salento. The database has been realised in MySql. In this database, the administrator can freely define Boards and Themes and insert Field. This allows a scalable and modular managing of the database. The compatibility is guaranteed by means of the script language Php. The contents can be reached through an interactive map.
