Abstract :
A shaping reflector antenna with similar gains in beam directions at -10°, 0°, +10° for the application DBS (direct broadcast satellite) is designed and developed. By using this developed antenna, a DBS signal at several satellites on a geostationary orbit can be received simultaneously. The shaping reflector with beam directions at -10°, 0°, +10° for similar gain is designed and implemented. From the results of simulation for the original reflector antenna, the gain of the focused feed and defocused feed are 35.18 dBi and 33.8 dBi respectively. From the results of simulation for the shaping reflector antenna, the gain is 35.08 dBi for the beam at 0° and 34.14 dBi beams at ±10°. For the test results of the shaping reflector, the gain are 34.73 dBi with beam at 0°, 34.04 dBi with beam at +10°. and 34.22 dBi with beam at -10°.
