  • Abstract
A new method for finding the topology entered by switching power converters after forced commutation is presented in this paper. Using the compensation theorem, a master-slave connection matrix is defined, whose entries give the current variations caused in each switch by the forced commutation of any switch in the circuit. The method permits capture of the switch states which is consistent with any network state imposed by sources and reactive elements. Some applications to the analysis of power electronic circuits are proposed to outline the effectiveness of this method
