Abstract :
This paper presents the first results of the study developed under ESA contract for the hybrid mechanical-electronic pointing system, considered for future missions using the Q/V band. This paper presents a dual reflector antenna of the Gregorian confocal type with an adjustable subreflector. The subreflector is optimized under the geometrical optics shaping techniques. An adjustable subreflector with a reasonable number of control mechanisms is then defined by means of the best-fit-tilted-paraboloid concept.
