Abstract :
This work describes the physical properties of a self-designed kilohertz-driven plasma pen operated in Ar designed for biomedical applications. The special design of the plasma pen resulted in stable operation at gas flow as low as 100 cm3·min-1. Important plasma parameters such as electron concentration ne, electron temperature Te and gas temperature Tg, and geometry of the discharge jet were estimated using both electric measurements and optical emission spectroscopy.
