Abstract
The inverse scattering problems for Perfectly Electrical Conducting (PEC) objects is dealt with in the two dimensional case. A multifrequency multi-monostatic configuration is considered, where the illumination-observation domain is limited to one side of the investigation domain (i.e., only "reflection mode" data are disposable). Two direct linear models are considered and an inversion algorithm based on the Truncated Singular Value decomposition (TSVD) approach is proposed. The algorithm is applied to numerical and experimental data and results in the localization of the scatterers, in the case they are small with respect to the wavelength, or in the reconstruction of their shape otherwise.
