Abstract :
This paper contains a brief review of the literature on the dynamic response of micro-electronic systems to shocks and vibrations, as well as an extension, in which a criterion of a quality of a shock protection system is suggested. The concept is illustrated using an example of a nanowire "brush" as a possible means for shock protection of a portable device.
