Abstract
In this study, combination of linear optical properties measurement with polarized time resolved infrared spectroscopy, the information of molecular switching dynamics from the macroscopic optical axis orientation and the detail switching behaviors in molecular scale is revealed. We found that the SSFLC molecules can be considered as a rigid system when external electric field is on, but when the field is removed, the transient behaviors of different molecules segments are not completely coherent, and the collected model cannot applied directly in the relaxation period.
