Abstract
The Fourier transform has been widely used in SAR signal and image processing. In most cases, SAR signals exhibit time-varying behavior in the Doppler spectrum. Thus, a joint time-frequency analysis (JTFA) for SAR signals is more useful. In this paper, we introduce three important issues with JTFA for radar signal and imaging: (1) time-frequency based image formation; (2) time-frequency analysis of ground moving targets; and (3) time-frequency analysis of micro- Doppler signatures.
