Abstract :
Tone reservation (TR) is one of the most attractive techniques to reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In this paper, an improved clipping and filtering method based on TR is proposed. The new approach combines ordinary clipping and deep clipping while adjusting the threshold and the depth factor of clipping. Compared with the conventional clipping and filtering algorithm based on TR, the proposed scheme offers better PAPR reduction performance without increasing the computational complexity.
