  • Abstract
    Different maintenance support departments perform developments of these simulators and they are running on several different platforms and using different computer languages. As a result a wide range of simulation models have been developed, but these models couldn´t be reused efficiently. The SMP2 (Simulation Model Portability Standard 2)´s main purpose is to promote portability and reuse of simulation models. The fundamental requirement of SMP2, SMP2´s high-level view and a typical SMP2 simulations´ design life-cycle are briefly introduced. According to the requirement of model reuse, portability and maintainability, a new thought of development and integration of a SMP2-based maintenance support simulation design models is proposed. Framework of the design model is comprised of maintenance support simulation concept models and maintenance support simulation catalogue. Maintenance support simulation concept models are constructed by four key elements, that is, composition framework, interaction framework, temporal framework and object-implementation framework. In the end, an example of the aerial defense brigade maintenance support simulation design model is particularly researched.
