Abstract
The effect of injector configuration parameters on performance, combustion process and exhaust emissions characteristics from a direct injection spark ignition (DISI) methanol engine was investigated. The experimental results show that the brake thermal efficiency and maximum in-cylinder pressure of injector nozzle A are higher than those of injector nozzles B and C. The total hydrocarbon compounds (THC) and CO emissions of injector nozzle A are lower obviously than those of injector nozzles B and C.
