Abstract :
High resolution human body meshes developed from visible human male data set were used to evaluated specific absorption rate (SAR) in the 5 to 6 GHz range applicable to wireless fidelity (WiFi) devices. The focus of the study was to determine exposure in the thigh and torso region of the body caused by radiating devices such as wireless network adaptors on laptop computers. The goal was to determine if any homogeneous liquid would consistently provide a more conservative measure of SAR for the cases in question so such a liquid could be used for experimental testing.
