Abstract :
A new SAW multi-chip module oscillator using a GaAs IC which has low power consumption characteristics is described in this paper. Firstly, the circuit configuration of the module is mentioned, where SAW resonator and GaAs IC chips are used. The GaAs IC has both functions of oscillation and modulation. Secondly, the design of the two chips and the module construction is presented. Finally, experimental results of the module, including the output stability, are mentioned. The oscillator has features of low power consumption and of small size, which are suitable for 300 MHz low power radio
