Abstract :
The system in this paper is defined with four modes: normal, abnormal, hidden fault and failure. The maintenance and detection policy vary with the detection result under different mode. A simulation algorithm of operational availability and maintenance cost for multi-state system considering detection strategy is given. The algorithm can not only work out optimizing system mode critical value and detection policy, but also can work out calculating the index of system reliability. The feasibility of the algorithm for multi-mode system is verified by an example.
