Abstract :
This paper introduces the study carried out on LV distribution panels to determine the main directions of EMF emission under normal operation within a MV/LV substation, and the influence of the LV conductors connection in the overall emission level. The analysis was performed both by simulation, using finite elements method software, and by experimental measures. The study results allow knowing the most critical regions surrounding the substations. Some conclusions on possible LV distribution panels´ external connections, location in the substation and design modifications are introduced.
