Abstract
Interactions between the surface water and groundwater is important to evaluate the structure of river eco-system, river restoration and riparian management. Such interactions in the Weihe River of Haihe River basin are analyzed using hydro chemical analysis method. The results indicated that the polluted river had already contaminated shallow groundwater, while contamination of groundwater was limited to a certain range due to natural attenuation and geology effect within the surface water and groundwater seepage zone.
