Abstract :
The insertion of the communication network in the feedback control loop makes the analysis and design of a networked control system more complex, and induces some issues that degrade the control system´s performance and even cause system instability. This paper focuses on main aspects around performance analysis of NCS: network-induced delays, sampling period, jitter, data packet dropout, network scheduling and stability. These issues must be considered in the design of an NCS. Therefore, this work summarizes many research results, and remarks some related handling approaches and techniques. The main purpose of the survey is to present new research state of NCS and point out some fields of future research.
