Abstract :
A modular, four channel SAR system is being developed in South Africa, for flight testing at the end of 1995. The normal configuration will be dual frequency, dual polarisation: interferometric operation is also planned as another mode. Included in the system is a transputer network, which has a dual function as quicklook processor, as well as image post-processor. The system is aimed at geological and environmental applications, which has resulted in C and VHF bands being selected for transceiver operation
