Abstract
The electromagnetic (EM) shielding effectiveness (SE) of plain weave, balanced twill weave, and uniform direction (UD) conductive carbon fibers (CFs) were studied. The experimental results show that the SE of woven CFs composites is higher than that of UD CF under the same weight percentage filled. The SE of two overlapped woven conductive CFs plates is higher than that of single plate. The highest SE measured is 96 dB for two balanced twill weave CFs plates. The new developed structure of CFs composites can be applied to optoelectronic devices later.
