Abstract :
The authors investigate the variation of transformer parameters (self and mutual) with frequency by performing a laboratory experiment. The test measures a hybrid set of parameters on a single-phase and a three-phase transformer. This test investigates not only the variation of short-circuit parameters with frequency, but also the variation of open-circuit parameters with frequency. The authors extend the study to include the transformer load test. In this test, the load terminal voltages at different harmonic frequencies are measured.<>
