Abstract :
Based on the physical oceanography, marine biology and ecotoxicology, this paper presents a mathematical model to assess quantitatively the marine organism damages caused by oil spill accidents, which plays very important role in the process of claiming maritime arbitrations and compensations. Then the model is used to calculate the mortality rate of different type marine organisms corresponding to different water depth 4 days after the "Tasman Sea" oil spill accident in Bohai bay.
