Abstract :
An adaptive bias circuit to improve the efficiency of the power amp is proposed that control the DC current of the power amp as a function of the input power. The proposed circuit uses the class-AB characteristics of the common-source amplifier. The considerations for the optimum biasing of the power amp are discussed
