Abstract :
A comprehensive analytical process for planning the electrification of unsupplied communities spread over broad geographic areas is described. Various aspects of the planning process are covered along with a specially developed integrated software system for use on personal computers. The process has found recent application in developing national electrification plans in Ghana and Ethiopia
