Abstract :
In this paper we present an implementation of video format converter (VFC). The VFC can be used to transform one video format to another video format. The input and output video formats could be PAL, NTSC, SECAM, SDTV, HDTV etc. The architecture of VFC is software reconfigurable. That means pixel number per line, period of line, frequency of frame and scan format (interlaced/progressive) can be changed by controller.
