Abstract
In this paper, the effects of cable imperfections on crosstalk in a fiber to DSL transition system is presented. The proposed technique has incorporated twist nonuniformity which was shown to result in a significant increase of all crosstalk interactions involved in the system. Future work extends this analysis to full binders of twisted-pairs, which are employed in realistic DSL deployments
