Abstract
The absence of any fixed infrastructure and mobility of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) make them attractive for usage in time-critical applications and collaborative computing. Recently MANETs are also used in real-time communications such as audio phone calls. In this paper, we investigate the performance of an outdoor stairs MANET test bed for different scenarios considering throughput and packet loss. We analyze the behavior of Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol. We design and implement two experimental scenarios: static scenario and moving scenario and draw conclusions regarding mobile communications with different number of hops.
