Abstract
In the following lines it is presented the main needs of the next generation of ADCs for space and defence applications. A review of the state of the art of electronic ADCs will be presented with its main limitations of noise contributions, jitter and limited dynamic range with the frequency. A study of the different architectures of photonic ADCs that could solve the mentioned problems will be carried out summarizing the best results obtained so far. Finally, the Photonic ADC developed by DAS Photonics will be presented including the main obtained results and specifications table.
