Abstract
The near-field scattering characteristics of an electrically large metallic plate changing with the position of the local illumination source are reported in this paper. The local illumination source is described by a spherical wave weighted by source radiation pattern. For a narrow incident beam, it is assumed that the incident field is approximately linearly polarized. The electric field integral equation (EFIE) is used with the entire domain Galerkin method to analyze the scattering. Numerical results are represented and discussed
