Abstract
Suppliers in the Far East account for over 45% of electronic imports into the UK and the rest of Europe. This paper examines the consequences of environmental legislation that will affect the commercial position of suppliers in the Far East by forcing them to take products back, remanufacture in Europe or accommodate the negative effects associated with the environmental impacts of product transport from the Far East to Europe
