Abstract :
The conventional standard hat feed has the best performance in very deep reflector antennas; also, this structure is a self supported feed and is used for a low side lobe level in reflector antennas. We suggest a new structure of hat feed that can be used as conventional feed for all kinds of reflector antennas. This performance is achieved by suitable shaping of the hat curve. The design is performed using Ansoft HFSS software. Measurement of the radiation patterns confirms the numerical results.
