  • Abstract
    For preparing a new cycle of laboratory work it was necessary for us to make a low-power and small-size generator of 3 cm range waves. The generator is used as the transmitter and should be located on a device with a transmitting antenna. The waveguide construction of a Gunn diode generator (GDG) was considered. IEC 100 22.86×10.16 mm waveguide with three-stage transition to a waveguide of size 22.86×2 mm has been taken as the basis. The type of diode is AA703A. The Gunn diode is protected by a resonance window, filled with a dielectric. GDG tuning is made by means of short-circuited plunger
