Abstract :
A novel approach based on improved iterative reconstruction algorithms is proposed to implement image reconstruction when using δ-ray computerized tomography (CT) for industrial multiphase flow monitoring. By inserting image processing techniques into the process of image reconstruction, both the convergence speed and image quality of iterative reconstruction algorithm are improved. The number of measurement data is limited to meet the real-time demand. In order to improve spatial resolution with limited projection data, we developed two approaches to calculate expanding projection matrix. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. For a pipe of 116 mm internal diameter, satisfying images of several typical flow regimes can be obtained from 85 projections.
