Abstract :
In this paper, the Search Space Smoothing technique, is applied to the Hardware/Software partitioning. Simulated Annealing is selected as the local search method for testing. Experiments show prominent increases in the quality of search results after applying this technique, while the run time increases only linearly, which accords with the analysis of the time complexity of the Search Space Smoothing technique combined algorithm.
