Abstract :
Some useful charts are presented to design precisely dielectric rod and ring resonators placed symmetrically in conductor cavities. When a resonant frequency of the TE/sub 01delta/ mode and necessary material constants are given, the optimum dimensions for offering the best separation from other resonances, the frequency-temperature coefficient, and the unloaded Q can be determined from these charts.
