  • Abstract
    In this paper a CAD program which speeds up the design of inductor and transformer layouts has been presented. The main advantages of this program are the easy-to-use and efficient interface which allows the user to create a wide range of different inductors in a short time, and without the need of a significant prior knowledge. The Expert Application Programming Interface (API) provides the possibility of adding functions written in C/C++ by users themselves to EXPERT Layout Editor. Numerous functions of API constitute very powerful and flexible means of access to full EXPERT functionality. This is the direction of which the next generation of this type of CAD programs should be heading to, all in favor of creating a powerful software application with a richer interface and more structure design options
