Abstract
A new circuit configuration for a slip power recovery system is presented. The DC current intermediate circuit is replaced by a DC voltage link. A boost chopper is used to connect the diode rectifier to the DC link voltage inverter. The merits of the configuration presented are the cost, the control simplicity, the possibility of reactive power control in a wide range and the quasi optimum exploration of the electric machine. It is also possible to compensate the harmonic currents injected on the mains by the machine
