Abstract
This paper present in details the way to derive the emissivity and the reflectivity from a sea rough surface covered in oil film with the use of the assumptions presented in the introduction. Numerical results of the emissivity and the reflectivity contrasts from a clean rough sea and a contaminated rough sea are showed with respect to the wind speed, the oil film thickness, the wavelength (ranging from 0.35 to 0.75 mum) and the locations of the emitter and the receiver. In addition, a method is presented in order to derive the slope variance along the wind direction from the knowledge of the roughness spectrum of a contaminated sea surface
