Abstract
This article investigates the effects of test positions of device under test (DUT), the boundaries of the flat phantom at the sides, and the accessory on specific absorption rate (SAR). Moreover, it can be said that this study is important to work out a basis of the standard because there are no domestic standards or regulations for handheld and body-mounted wireless devices in Korea. The test device is chosen to the domestic commercial personal digital assistants (PDA), and measurements in fully anechoic chamber are performed in accordance with the guideline of IEEE P1528 and IEC 62209 Part 2. The self-developed SAR measurement system is utilized, which meets requirements of those standards like probe calibration and system validation
