  • Abstract
This papers presents results in modeling the inner ear of the FM bat. The basilar membrane is modeled as a bank of bandpass filters. The ability of constant bandwidth and constant Q models in extracting time-frequency detail from a representative echolocation call is presented. The constant Q filter bank provides the best joint time-frequency resolution
